Re: BA crash
Thanks for reporting the issue. Can you please let me know what version of iPad you have, and what iOS version you are running (via Settings->About).

Re: BA crash
The iPad crashes are still here (have talked about this with you guys in the past). I have an iPad 1 with iOS 5.0 on it, running the latest BA version.
It (still) crashes when typing at the end of turn, while the opponent's turn is playing, when there are multiple units on the screen, especially at max zoom out. However, it doesn't crash more frequently than before.

Re: BA crash
The issues with typing are something we are following up with Apple - it relates to a problem with the keyboard on later iOS versions where typing anything on the keyboard uses massive amounts of memory. We tried to get some help from Apple, but it got reported as a bug and we haven't had any further feedback at all
. The problem is most likely to occur (as in your case) on earlier iPads (with less RAM) running later iOS versions.
I will investigate the new crash also. Thanks for the details on the iOS version.

Re: BA crash
Good to hear. Could have been some memory fragmentation etc. Unfortunately we aren't allowed to suggest resetting the iPad to players in either the app or the iTunes page...

Re: BA crash
I have an ipad3 with 6.1.3 and i cant play with 2.11 anymore. I had to revert to 2.07 which is a pity as i cant play husky.
I see other users have problems too if you see the itunes us page (i cant post links).

Re: BA crash
Can you be more specific about your issue please. When/how does it crash. Can you please send us the log (Settings->Usage->Diagnostics and Usage Data) immediately after it crashes.
Also, if you have not, try rebooting your iPad after installing the new version. There is a rare but fairly well-known bug that sometimes occurs when updating an app. The scuttlebutt seems to be it's to do with provisioning syncing, but nobody in the iOS dev community can seem to nail it down! But rebooting the iPad generally seems to fix it.

Re: BA crash
I tried rebooting. The crash happens when I start any game after choosing weapons or when I load a saved file.
The product page has also other users complaing about the same thing so I can't be a special.case.
I will send diagnostics data when I get back to my ipad.

Re: BA crash
The thing is, I actually develop the game on an identical setup to the one you are describing, and obviously don't see the same issues. There is obviously something common to the users having an issue. A new update just went live which fixes a few gameplay bugs. Please let me know if it helps at all. You might also want to try a reinstall (I guess you could delete the game from your iPad before downloading the update and it would be the same thing).
If you are still having issues then hopefully the logs will shed some light on it.

Re: BA crash
Hi guys
I want to thank everyone who reported an issue. After digging through the memory use at the points you mentioned, we have spotted some errant extra memory use which could (depending on what other apps or services are running) cause iOS to shriek "Off with his head!". We will aim to get a fix implemented as quickly as possible, and apologise for the inconvenience.
I would ask - have you tried running the game first thing from a reboot? This is, with nothing else running. Do you have a 3G iPad or wifi only? I'm just trying to work out why my iPad3 is quite happy, even with a ton of other apps in the background, while yours is crashing.
Cheers

Re: BA crash
the crash happens after running it immediately after a reboot too. 2.05 was totally stable 2.07 gave problems sometime and usually i made sure i ran it with no apps running. 2.11 just crashes all the time consistantly.

Re: BA crash
Can you give me the info on wifi/3G etc. Anything else out of the ordinary? As I say - running an identical setup to yours and yet never once had it crash in that way (even when attempting to make it do so!).
Hoping to submit the fix to Apple today.
Cheers

Re: BA crash
sorry meant to say it but forgot. Its a wifi ipad 3. Nothing else out of the ordinary I think except a fair bit of board games installed.
Re: BA crash
2.12 didnt help either
.
*EDIT*
Was too quick in making that remark. Works fine now. I thought I restarted after upgrading but actually hadnt. Thanks for the fixes.

Re: BA crash
I have an iPad3 and the game crashes between loading a multiplayer game (i.e. progress bars) and displaying the map and units. This occurs until I reboot my iPad and then the game works fine until the next day. Force quitting BA doesn't help. Force quitting everything else doesn't help.
I'm running BA 2.1.1 and iOS 6.1

There should be a new update released in the next day or so which should solve these crashes on mission load. Fingers crossed!

Re: BA crash
Well bugger. We fixed the memory over-run which we found and were certain that would be the end of the issue. I can't imagine what combination of HW or other settings could be causing these issues. As I say, I am running on identical hardware and OS and cannot replicate these issues, even when I am trying to do so!
If anyone could post the most recent log from their iPad immediately after a crash that might help us to track it down.
Cheers
