Improving AI

Post by LandMarine47 »

Now I like everything in the new BA ESPECIALLY the difficulty set (Finally beat the Bulge 8)) but one thing I was hoping for was a more aggressive AI. When the Germans attack after one shot the ENTIRE offensive goes to a stand still where the AI just shot/suppresses one area and the infantry move only one tile up. Now I would expect this for a GREAT WAR mod but not in the WW2 scenario. I mean these are the masters of the Blitzkrieg they don't care if they're being shot at! Can there be some AI improvement for this? Or is this only for modding

I'm not sure that's a solid analogy. Blitzkrieg occured at the strategic level - it didn't mean that individual units raced forward into ambushes :).

Nonetheless, I will take a look and see if there is something not working as it should be. The AI will probably get a polish as part of the next expansion too.

Cheers

Hmm I just want an AI that'll really give you a run for your money. Most agressive AI I've fought is the Africa Korps on Reargaurd and the Germans on Battered and Besieged

Another thing is can you make the Arty strikes more you know relevant? The AI always calls Arty on 1 GROUP of units know exactly where he is with no way of seeing him on the Map can it be for realistic like bombing town or fortified positions?
