I suppose putting 'Serbian' down as an army is a bit like putting 'Roman'... keeps things vague ....

And here's me thinking Paul was only paranoid about me................

Do we think Dave is getting those new speedier armoured knights on the table?

Largely, I think because everybody has just taken their v1 army:
Rob Taylor - Later Ottoman Turk
Ian Stewart - French Ordonnance
Graham Briggs - EAP

Pushed the boat out their lads

Paul Johnson - Albanian
Is that the massed skirmisher horde of crap that's impossible to beat / be beaten by?

Mr Evans is still trying not to take it personally that somebody has just shafted the Dom Roms, both in terms of list and rules.

In fact, the only people (apart from me obviously :)) to show some imagination are Rich Love and Dave Morrison with Ghaznavid and Dave Finnegan with Dailami.

David Bannister going for Burgundian Ordonnance is a bit of a curve ball. I still think the army is rubbish, so it will be interesting to see how David get's on.

I can imagine Chris Proudfoot is still painting or basing (or more likely both) his romans on Thursday evening before setting off from Durham in rush hour traffic and expecting to get to Brighton in three hours. Maybe he's going to get the train so he can paint and base his army on the move?

Now I've offended half the people in the field, I'll leave you to it.

In my defence I got a Dailami army painted up for V2 but a game against Paul's skirmishing horde showed me the error of my ways.

With the restriction on movement I have found they don't have the time in games to capitalise on any breakthroughs.

Mind you I would'nt mind them against the EAP's and Western Hans next weekend.

I think you'll find this is the new improved v2 Serbians. Version 2 in rules and iterations. I now have troops who can deal with elephants quite adequately thank you very much.

I did say all the UK wargamers would be too chicken to bring piles of Elephants as they are too unpredictable. I'm just pretending I can't see the Ghaznavids.

so its lancers and light horse for you Dave..... brave choice.... my skirmishing hordes win plenty of games thank you...well north of the border they do anyhow; Robert has managed to avoid them in competition so far..

would be interesting to hear Phil talk through the history of the western turks sometime... Gordon does a smashing job on the Danish history
