A few questions...

I am an old Panzer General player and was delighted when I found Panzer Corps. I purchase all of the Compaigns to include Afrika Corps.

Question:

1. In Panzer General I could rename my Core units but I cannot figure out how to do it in Panzer Corps. Is it possible?

2. Like I said, I purchased all of the campaigns and got them loaded up. I started a new game and selected the 'Fall Gelb 1939-1945' but campaign was very short. I did well and got some DVs but I was through Russia with just 2 DVs...can't be correct. Are not the scenarios linked together? I looked in the "classified folder' and I see the campaigns there... I begin to think in order to play all the compaigns in a serial linked order that I must select the 'GC 1939' in 'Classified Folder', yes or no? And, then this will link into GC 1940, 1941, etc, yes? Selecting the postcards like 'Fall Gelb 1939-1945' is just the initial scenarios if one does not purchase the extras campaigns, correct? I hope so...otherwise I have no idea what is wrong.

Hi Rick,

1. To rename a unit just select it and press <alt>n

2.Essentially you have bought 4 campaigns. To the left of the postcards on the start menu are 3 icons.A cog, a German cross and a palm tree. selecting these will start the tutorial, the panzer corps or vanilla campaign, and the Africa Corps campaign respectively. The vanilla campaign has 4 possible starting points which is what the postcards are about. The classified folder contains the downloadable content campaigns. These are a more in depth and historically accurate version of the vanilla campaign. They start out at 1939 and recreate scenarios that occurred or could have occurred in that year of the war. At the end of the downloadable content campaign you are able to save your core force and then upload it as your core force on the subsequent years campaign (or get an entirely new core force by not selecting this option). Just to add that extra bit, after 1941 you can choose to play eastern or western theatre (or one then the other). I presume for either you can use your 1941 saved core. I am not there yet as I am still fighting for my life in the Russian winter of '41.

Have a good look through the forum especially at the FAQ and 'tips and tricks threads'. There is heaps of info!
