Thanks Hidde,

No worries, that makes sense... I've just updated the OOB and there was only 1x M5 in the BG, so I assumed it was a reporting error...

Gentlemen, the June 9th PM download is ready to play...
GottaLove88s wrote:1. Run BA on your Mac, PC or iPad
2. If you do not already have GJS'44 on your system, skip ahead to Step 8
3. Choose Multiplayer (at the bottom)
4. Log in to Multiplayer as usual
5. Choose the My Challenges tab (at the top) then press New Challenge
6. Select your old GJS'44 Campaign scenario and then Delete Campaign (bottom right)
7. Press X until you get back to BA start screen
8. Choose Campaigns (at the bottom)
9. Choose Download Community Scenarios (at the top)
10. Choose Download a Campaign Package from the Internet (top right)
11. Type http://bit.ly/BA88gjs44 into the URL box
12. Click the green tick
13. Back at the campaigns list, select "GJS44 v1.23 - June 9th PM" and click Download the Selected Campaign (bottom centre)
14. This should download everything that you need
15. Press X until you get back to the BA start screen and choose Multiplayer
16. Log in to Multiplayer as usual
17. Either go to the My Challenges tab and click the New Challenge arrow. This list will now show GJS'44 v1.23... including Abbaye 2...
18. Or go to the Accept Challenges tab and click the scenario that you're supposed to be fighting (if your opponent has already setup your game)

You can now play GJS'44 on any platform... Phew!!
If that doesn't make sense, please use the wonderful instructional vid by fellow gamer IDjester, explaining how to download and setup GJS'44... Thanks mate. NICE! :D

Btw, Ninjas v1.3 has just gone live... With a revised Carpiquet and 'real engineers' in case anyone would like to experiment with map or unit functions...

Waiting for deployment in Abbaye 2. Hopefully we'll get many turns played during the weekend. I'll be ready with my 11-unit strong BG.

VOTE: Brigade Re-organisation

Players/Commanders,

While Abbaye 2 is kicking off, with its massive mobile armies invincibly roaming the battle map, ;-), a historical opportunity has occurred to me...

Aware of the challenges faced by the precious few survivors fighting the Abbaye 2 battle, and taking into consideration that each of you probably now 'owns' at least one, possibly two, brigades... I would like propose a solution that would enable you to 'top up' your forces to keep them viable at your front lines, while also permitting you to partially tailor your forces to their tactical requirements...

At present, Commanders can choose to Merge two BGs that move into the same sector, consuming all remaining moves.

However, as an alternative to a full merger, I offer commanders an option of Brigade Re-organisation, where two adjacent battle groups (BGs) can swap upto 16 units, upto a max of 8 units in each direction, consuming one move from both of the BGs... Theoretically, this would allow you to allocate your transports, ATGs, mortars, tanks, engineers, scouts, recon cars, etc, exactly where they're required, so long as you can bring them up close enough... The 'bringing them close enough' will consume time and moves, once you decide where you want to reinforce, but the concept of planned reinforcement feels historically accurate.

Let me know what you think. Brigade Re-organisation: Yes or No.

Thanks guys.

PS. There has been a lot for you to decide on lately, so hopefully this will be our last vote for sometime to come...

I had this idea some time ago, so I vote Yes.

It would be possible to create Kampfgruppen/Task Forces :)
