Here are some questions that I would be interested in getting an answer to please
1) Do you recieve any extra experience or points towards hero's (other than a mention in dispatches) if your unit takes an empty city/town hex?
2) Why does an anti aircraft unit still fire on my bomber when I drop bombs on it even though I have supressed it with artillery fire and its value is in red?
3) Other than prestige and the satisfaction of getting a DV is there any other point of getting DV's in all DLC's ie open up secret levels, difficult settings etc?
4) Should I still be able to use artillery on an enemy unit when one of my aircraft is on top of the enemy unit? Im sure you couldnt do this in the original Panzer General.
5) In the original Panzer General, if I surrounded an enemy plane with all my planes it couldnt move and I was able to finish it off next go without having to chase it around the map. Is there a cheat that allows me to do this on the DLC's?
6) Is weather determined by how well I am doing because it seems every time my airforce has a really good turn rolling the dice and getting above average hit rates the next turn the weather seems to ground my airforce?
7) Is there any chance of returning to the option of using SdKfc 251/1 transport for AA units as it was quite handy to use their transport to mop up enemy units with 1 prestige remaining or at least give us a choice of which transport to buy?

Re: General Questions
I'll answer the ones I can
Red number means nearly fully supressed, not 100%. Check the tooltip. You'll see a negative number showing how much supression you have. It's possible a unit has 1 strength point unsupressed with which it can fire back.2) Why does an anti aircraft unit still fire on my bomber when I drop bombs on it even though I have supressed it with artillery fire and its value is in red?
Yes, DVs can unlock path choices and bonus scenarios.3) Other than prestige and the satisfaction of getting a DV is there any other point of getting DV's in all DLC's ie open up secret levels, difficult settings etc?
That was always possible. Why wouldn't it be?4) Should I still be able to use artillery on an enemy unit when one of my aircraft is on top of the enemy unit? Im sure you couldnt do this in the original Panzer General.
PzC does not have the zone of control concept for air planes. I don't know however whether there is a cheat for this. I don't think so.5) In the original Panzer General, if I surrounded an enemy plane with all my planes it couldnt move and I was able to finish it off next go without having to chase it around the map. Is there a cheat that allows me to do this on the DLC's?
That this is coincidence.6) Is weather determined by how well I am doing because it seems every time my airforce has a really good turn rolling the dice and getting above average hit rates the next turn the weather seems to ground my airforce?
I guess you mean the change to SdKfz 7 instead. The change was probably made for historical correctness. The SdKfz 7 was used for heavy equipment and the default transports were historically not capable of pulling such heavy weapons. So the option is blocked for a reason. The other transports simply do not have the horsepower.7) Is there any chance of returning to the option of using SdKfc 251/1 transport for AA units as it was quite handy to use their transport to mop up enemy units with 1 prestige remaining or at least give us a choice of which transport to buy?

Re: General Questions
Great replys. Many thanks.
Never knew about the artillery supression figures in the tool tip. I look at that all the time now and use two artillery units when needed
As far as using artillery when planes are overhead I thought it might be a bit dangerous when my dive bombers are dive bombing at the same time as an artillery barage was coming over. Maybe its just me
I thought you may say coincidence about the weather but it happens alot. Its like the computer uses it as a last defence if its suffering heavy losses. Either that or I am very unlucky with the weather. Somebody get me a brolly!!

Re: General Questions
There is no cheat to enable ZoC for air units but you can turn it on easily another way. In the folder where you installed Panzer Corps, in the "DATA" sub-folder there is a file called "gamerules.pzdat". Just open it with a text editor and the first few lines reads as follows:KeldorKatarn wrote:PzC does not have the zone of control concept for air planes. Code: Select all
# *** Zone of Control (ZOC) rules
# The following three options specify if the three main branches of units (ground, air or naval) are effected by ZOC created by enemy units. 1=yes, 0=no.
GroundZOC 1
NavalZOC 1
AirZOC 0

The Zones of Control seem logical to me. Consider ships and ground troops in real life. If surrounded by enemy units there is no escape path (2D).
Planes use all the airspace (3D). I guess that is why they are not blocked by ZOC in the game.

I think all you get is some extra Prestige.2010sjones2010 wrote:1) Do you recieve any extra experience or points towards hero's (other than a mention in dispatches) if your unit takes an empty city/town hex?
Which is quite handy.
