Re: Your screen resolution
1280x1024x2 monitors. Generally I only run PzC on one and watch a dvd on the other.

and on a dual monitor setup, both run at 1366x768. Dual monitor is pretty usessless with PC, I get much more of old Allied general (where I can move parts of the interface to the second monitor).
What could we possibly do to make PzC more friendly to multiple monitor setup?boredatwork wrote:1280x1024x2 monitors. Generally I only run PzC on one and watch a dvd on the other.

Re: Your screen resolution
Currently you can get it to work using the window mode, this is doable and not so terrible, provided your monitors are indentical and close to each other. Still it creates a gap in the middle of the map that at least I find confusing. For me the perfect solution would be to be able to display the map in one window and the minimap and all the buttons in the other. Alternatively a separate (and resizeable window with just the "strategic" map)Rudankort wrote:Borsook wrote:I'm playing the game on a netbook it's 1366x768 (not all the netbooks are so small as people think)

In theory, the window can be resized so that the UI side bar is in the right monitor, and the map is in the left?Borsook wrote:Currently you can get it to work using the window mode, this is doable and not so terrible, provided your monitors are indentical and close to each other. Re: Your screen resolution
Yes, not an easy task to do, the resizing tends to be a but quirky... but if you do that and restart you have to do it again... Which seems to be a prevailing theme with PC (same like typing "chess" every time)Rudankort wrote:In theory, the window can be resized so that the UI side bar is in the right monitor, and the map is in the left?Borsook wrote:Currently you can get it to work using the window mode, this is doable and not so terrible, provided your monitors are indentical and close to each other. Oh, my bad! It does! It gets reset when you go to fullscreen though, this confused me.Rudankort wrote:Hmm I was sure the game remembered window position.

Re: Your screen resolution
TBH even if PzC was made more friendly to multiple monitors I would probably still only be running it on 1 - I find doing any one thing across monitors is an unecessary distraction (as opposed to running something else on the second which is efficient multitasking!)Rudankort wrote:What could we possibly do to make PzC more friendly to multiple monitor setup?boredatwork wrote:1280x1024x2 monitors. Re: Your screen resolution
Multi monitor support would be cool. like having the strategic map on the 2nd monitor or something

Re: Your screen resolution
1920x1200 so no vote.
Re: Your screen resolution
Just choose the option closest to yours (in this particular case 1920x1080 full HD resolution). I could not possibly list all resolutions in existence in this poll.Shrike wrote:1920x1200 so no vote.

Guess you should skipped on this wired 1024x600 resolution in favor of the classic office display res.Rudankort wrote:Just choose the option closest to yours (in this particular case 1920x1080 full HD resolution). Re: Your screen resolution
No, this resolution was very important to have, because it's the minimal resolution supported by Panzer Corps. And one of the biggest questions I asked myself was: do we need to support it in the future? So far, the results of the poll seem to indicate that we probably don't.Dragoon wrote:Guess you should skipped on this wired 1024x600 resolution in favor of the classic office display res.

1080 vs. 1200, on the other hand, is not an important difference at all. I don't care in what proportion these resolutions are used, they are pretty close, and the same approach to UI will work for both.
Re: Your screen resolution
That's what I thought considering how well the PzC-GUI scales on higher resolutions. Instead if there is a need support smaller res with strange a:r. As long it scales fine on an ipad the hipsters will be fine.

Re: Your screen resolution
I am playing at 2560*1440 on a CINEMA LED Display Apple monitor 27 inches coupled with an Alienware M17XR3.
Even if the game supports this resolution I wonder if there is a change versus 1920*1080.
In 2560*1440 the size of each unit remains big, I thought the unit size would have been smaller with a view on a larger amount of the map.
I suspect Pz Corps does NOT really exploit the 2560*1440 resolution.
Anyway this remains the best resolution for me.
But the border of both screens is annoying, it is far better to use one screen only.

Multi monitor is supported, I also tested Pz Corps on two DELL 19 inches monitors, it works fine (1280*1024*2 in fact).Multi monitor support would be cool. like having the strategic map on the 2nd monitor or something

I think the same if two screens are used (even 2 27 inchesFor me the perfect solution would be to be able to display the map in one window and the minimap and all the buttons in the other. Alternatively a separate (and resizeable window with just the "strategic" map)

Re: Your screen resolution
1920 x 1080 on my Desktop, and 1366 x 768 on the Laptop. Looks fantastic on both and have never had an issue.
Re: Your screen resolution
Laptop at 1920 x 1200 and separate monitor at 2048 x 1152. If it were possible, I'd have the map fill one monitor and put the unit list and control panel on the other monitor. It might also be worthwhile to have be able to put the strategic map on that one (though I realize that would be a significant shift from toggling the main map back and forth between strategic and tactical views). I play freeciv as I've described above -- map on one monitor, all the other info windows on the second monitor. Muuuuch better than on only one screen

Re: Your screen resolution
I'm playing on a 1366 x 768 16 inches laptop.
This actually gives a playing area of 11 x 7 hexes, I find it a bit small on large map when there are more strategic decisions to take.
I tried the zoom out mode but I find it useful only for stategic movements far from the frontline, the strength values look too small to be read easily.
Actually something in between both existing modes would be perfect for my screen size and resolution.
Anyway after many campaign I get used to the default large icons.

Re: Your screen resolution
Same here using a desktop. I find this resolution much preferable to 1920x1080, but the monitor manufacturers are adamant that the users don't get to decide. I find that the new IPS monitors are still available in 1920x1200 for graphics artists, but nothing else.Anthedon wrote:I'm playing at 1920x1200. And I'm suprised how uncommon this resolution is becoming, it's not even in the poll.
The game runs perfectly fine though, I never had any interface issues whatsoever.
Re: Your screen resolution
As with most games I run it at my native resolution which in this case is 1920x1080
