I'm looking for miniatures suitable for late (1680-1725-ish) Ottoman sipahi -- preferrably with carbines & pistols & so on. Also, suggestions on miniatures appropriate for Peter the Great's Russian army throughout his reign -- I've looked at the Essex offerings, but even though many of them say "all nationalities" I'm not entirely sure which would be "the most appropriate" for his soldiers.
Any suggestions appreciated, particularly those from US web-stores. Many thanx in advance.

Re: Late Ottoman Sipahi & PTG Russians
OK, at least I've found what appear to be suitable minis for PTG -- Blue Moon 15mm has what appear to be some very nice castings.
Still have no idea where to look for late Ottoman sipahi, though

Re: Late Ottoman Sipahi & PTG Russians
Russians and Poles used much the same armor as Ottomans.
Essex RUS8 Muscovite: Heavy Cavalry with Mace, Bow, Pistol & Sword:

Polish RPP19b 16-17th Century Polish: Pancerni with 2 pistols & Carbine:

For unarmored you probably have to make your own turban. Not hard, it can be done with white glue.
RUS1 Muscovite: Command: Mounted Generals / Cavalry Officers:

Essex also released some eastern infantry and cavalry within the last year, but when they re-desgned the website it went missing. They probably don't even know it. I believe they had some eastern cavalry armed with carbines and pistols, but I don't remember the details.

And if you really want late there is AB Ottomans:

And Vexillia:

Old Glory15 (not the same as Old Glory25/Blue Moon) also makes SYW Ottomans, but no images on their website.

Thank you, I hadn't thought of using the Essex Russians for the purpose, but now that you mention it I don't see why not.
I knew about the OG SYW Turks, but didn't think they'd be appropriate for the late 17th century. If they are, excellent.
I didn't know about the Vexillia, & will have to check them out. Many thanx, again!

I think this Cossack could easily be given a turban.
RNC3 16-17th Century Cossacks: Mounted Lancer with Pistols & Arquebus

Another figure that could be useful is: RNN8 Tartar: Noble Cavalry with Lance, Bow, Shield and Pistol. Again, you would probably want to add a turban.

Also, don't be afraid to mix in some bow armed figures in the BG.

What about the minis from Essex REN116 or so -- I think that's the code -- which are horsemen with turbans & arquebus? I'd seen them but had largely discounted them on the grounds they don't appear to be armored, but if they'd otherwise be suitable I'll grab some of them too.
Again, many thanx for the suggestions!
