The SE division grew slowly from a bataillon to a regiment and then a Panzergrenadierdivision. Now in 42 with the 2nd SE Panzer I'll rename it 1. SE Panzerdivision and put the 3rd SE Panzer in there as well, Any SE Panzers after that will be used as independent heavy tank bataillions and probably become Tigers and Tiger IIs.
The 1st and 7th division were built as Panzerdivisions right from the start. Only StuG and Flak were added later on, as well as the KradSchützen. One division started as a light division with only one tank bataillon while the other one started as a 39 style panzerdivision with 2 tank regiments and only 1 infantry regiment. They switched units around to become full '40 style panzer divisions in GC 40 for the west front. I kept rotating these divisions (because I felt I was otherwise wasting XP because of the maximum and I had the prestige... ) while the SE regiment/division always came along. The air force is nearly never fully deployed. I only did it a few scenarios while waiting for enough core slots to finally buy the necessary units to turn the SE regiment into a full division. Vyazma was when it happened and the SE division made their first heroic effort by talking the outscirts of Moscow. In this scenario I notied in the first tries that major air power just doesn't cut it here. Two full divisions and their artillery is needed. By this time I was way to air-heavy in my core so I switched and now I usually only deploy around 8 air units. Most often 3 fighters, rotating the squadrons, 2 Stukas, 1 destroyer, 2 strat bombers.Maybe I'll deploy one more destroyer once I can affort 9 air units on the field. But I doubt that I'll ever deploy more than that again. 12 was just too much. I'd rather deploy full 3 ground divisions. But I don't know if the core size will ever allow for that. I'll let the future scenarios surprise me ;) One thing is certain, the two Panzer divisions will no longer grow. Maybe a Nebelwerfer Abteilung for each, but I'm not so sure about that either. The SE PzDiv will probably get a StuG, not sure whether it'll get a Flak. it will definately not get a Kradschützen. If it gets a flak I'll probably give it a self propelled one for variety, not an 88. I might actually upgrade the 88s to SP too, because so far I have trouble putting the 88 anywhere usefull. It gets shots off at the air units initially yes, but they are quickly gone and I am also good enough at defeating heavy tanks now so I rarely get the 88 in position in time and even then it need heavy artillery support to be able to attack. But maybe with more air waves coming in in 42 my opinion will change, we'll see. but even then I'd imagine I'd prefer AA that can keep up with my tanks...
I didn't list the captured units because except for some in france to support the SE regiment, I hardly ever deployed any and I don't plan to anymore. I still keep them in the collection but I consider them reserve units and don't deploy them. I want to play my regular Panzerdivisions. I don't like a too tank heavy core. I like my infantry :)

Thanks for reminding me of this thread. You are right. It is fun.

This is at the start of '45 West. The entire West campaign is at FM with an imported core. I consistently have 2 cheats going. Core 2n and Reform units. This is only to keep my conscripts active and alive, just because I find it hilarious.

43 Fallschirmjager - Att 2 Move 1
Conscript (Kenny 1) - Def 2
Conscript (Kenny 2) - Move 1
43 Gerbigsjager - Def3 Att 5
43 Pioniere - Spot 1 Att 2
SE 43 Gerbigsjager - Def 3 Att 1
SE 43 Grenadier - Def 3 Move 1
SE 43 Infantrie - Def 2
SE 43 Infantrie – Init 6

Panzer IVJ - Move 1
Panzer IVJ -
Churchill IV -
Churchill IV -
Tiger I – Init 6
SE Tiger II – Move 1
(Sherman Firefly – Def3 Move 2) Bonus Unit

Jagdtiger – Def 2
Elefant – Def 2 Att 1
M10 Wolverine -

88 – Move 1 Def 3
88 – Move 1 Def 3
Not a typo. Funny enough I have two 88s with the exact same heroes attached.

17cm K18 – Move 1
17cm K18 – Move 1 Range 1
StuH 42 – Att 3
Sig 38t - Att 1
Sig 38t -
21cm Nbl -

FW 190A - Def 3
FW 190A – Spot 2
FW 190A – Spot 1
FW 190A – Mov 1
(TA 152H – Def 4 Spot 1) Bonus Unit
(SE 109 – Att 4 Def 4 Init 3) Bonus Unit.
I'm debating whether to use a cheat to turn him into a FW190.

FW 190F - Def 7
ME 410 – Att 3 Def 3
(DO 335A – Att 3 Move 3) Bonus Unit

HE 177A – Def 3

I'm finding 42-45 West very challenging. The West is stomping me like the Soviets only wished that they could. My infantry is essentially intact, but Western armor is chewing up my armor and recon on a regular basis. I have a lot of good armor sitting in my graveyard. I am being forced to press the captured equipment into service.
