Re: Panzer Corps Grand Campaign ’45 West release delay
A torrent on release day for the future would be cool. The patch having now over 800mb and everyone rushing to download could help alleviate the initial rush. At least I'm willing to chip in with my bandwidth.

It must be a bad joke...

Downloadingtime you have the choice between (mirror1) 3 hours , (mirror2) 4 hours or (mirror3) 7 hours...

I hope that in the future this will end and only the new stuff come in a new patch. Or we have somestimes a patch with 3 GB !?!
Sorry, for my bad school english...

Just want to point out if you're going to buy the DLC '45 you don't have to dl the patch too. The DLC comes with the latest patch. Also the Matrix content servers are much faster, at least for me it dl'ed with ~400 kb/sBallermann wrote:Dragoon wrote:The patch having now over 800mb and everyone rushing to download could help alleviate the initial rush. Just bought the 45 West DLC, and I never even received the download link email, so have raised an incident with the Slitherine Help Desk.
Stll waiting after 2 hours for the patch to finish, which it says will be just under another 2 hours.
A very poor end to what promised to be such a great day.

Registering DLC 45 West worked now.
I suggest downloading the DLC instead of the patch, it's already included. I hope dundas61's problem get solved soon.

It took only a minute for me and thankfully came with v1.13. I had tried downloading 1.13 by itself and the download timed out after a few minutes. Two hours later I bagged it and went for DLC 45 West... then the miracle happened and v1.13 came with! Joy!

Sorry guys, but there are a lot of people downloading the patch at the same time. I was able to download in 10 minutes by using one of the mirrors.
The DLC is hosted in Amazon server, so naturally it's quicker.

Ok, have finally figured out the problem myself, and it's a Vista thing.
It's a default parameter in Internet Explorer, Internet Options, Advanced.
Under Security, the "Do not save encrypted files to disk" check box is ticked by default, which then totally blocks your encrypted DLC download.
Not sure when this started, and it seems to revert back to the wrong thing every time you reboot your PC.
Please feel free to pass this on to any other Vista users having the same problem.
