How Many SE Units: 39-40-41-42/43 West 44 West

Post by GSlapshot »

With the release of the Western GCs, a clarification on how many SE units you can have if playing this thread. I know you can have 2 in 1939, 3 in 1940 and 4 in 1941 but it looks likes only 4 in 42-43 West. Any comments?

I don't know it either, but I remember it was mentioned in the first scenario briefing for St. Nazaire:

(snip)
Note: SE Unit limit for this campaign is 4. Experience limit is set at 425.

This particular question is asked so often that I have the gut feeling UI improvements that show this and other things like prestige per turn are quite in order for future "Panzer Corps"... :)

When you start the DLC, the first briefing should tell you.

Thanks. I didn't scroll down to the bottom to see the note. So I assume it is 2 in 39, 3 in 40, 4 in 41 and then the GC will tell me? I usually sell back the SE unit for prestige to free up a slot for a unit depending on my core.

To free up a slot? You are aware that SE units don't use up a slot right? That's what makes them so useful.

so do you mean 2 in 39 + 3 in 40 + 4 in 41 = 7 overall? I finished DLC 41 and I have only 4 SE units with most, if not all, scenarios finished with DV. Is there something wrong then?

The number is total not cumulative. So you only have 4 when you finish GC 1941. GC West 42-43 and on will tell you on the initial briefing splash scr4een how many you can have.
