In theory yes, but in practice not much. Because of the way that disorder works in the rules, elephants and camels will generally have less effect on friendly mounted than on enemy mounted.

Expanding on richard post...

The mechanism is quite sublte. They disorder troops within a base width including your own. But disorder applies only to bases affected when counting up combat dice. So the effect is much bigger on the enemy than on friends without recourse to any fancy exceptions. You can of course get all your Cv disordered by deploying in certain ways but in the main troops using El will be less affectd than those facing them.

Indeed it is a very nice mechanism. However, your explanation is as subtle as the mechanism. One of my Roll Call opponents queried it. To be less subtle, disorder causes a BG to lose one dice per three disordered bases. A two cavalry BG, fighting with its first two ranks, lined up adjacent to an elephant BG on only one flank has only two disordered bases, not enough to lose a dice. A BG of cavalry fighting elephants will probably have four or more bases within a base width of an elephant. It will probably lose at least one dice.
