Weird Graphical error

So the first time I played the demo there was some very strange issue with the roan militia, who all looked misshapen and had large spikes shooting out of them when I zoomed in. All other units were fine and the demo ran just fine. Now when I start the game I get green lines across the screen that don't go away when I quit, only when I restart my computer. I'm running an ATI Radeon 9700 pro with the latest drivers on windows XP with directx 9.0c

update: this graphical problem has just now started up outside of the game even being run since I last rebooted, could this be something done by the game or is it independant?

Which version of the game are you running ?
Which Language and publisher version are you using ?
and which country did you purchase in ?

The game isn't going to be able to break the graphics card

. My guess would be that the new DirectX + driver combination isn't happy. It might be worth reinstalling the latest graphics card drivers after DirectX9.0c, just to be sure.

alright, so I uninstalled directx again, reinstalled it, then reinstalled the drivers. After rebooting for the drivers the screen had green lines all over the place on the windows loading screen and afterwards and I couldn't see the mouse moving once I got to my desktop. I hit the restart button and everything was fine, and the game now works without a hitch, but I don't know if this problem is still lurking in the shadows or not.
