Re: Battle of Atoleiros, 1384
I have just read Craig's review of this scenario of mine on the FOG Wiki and he has rated it 0 out of 10!!
It is not that bad, surely? It is a fairly simple scenario - cavalry versus a square basically - but the idea behind it was for newer players to get some practice with cavalry against defensive positions. Nothing particularly earth-shattering, I agree - but I feel that it is quite well-balanced and maybe worth a 6 or 7 really.
What do you think?
Edit: this is what Craig wrote, "Massina_nz's rating - 0 - Why would either side choose to fight? Lance armed cavalry on one side versus a schiltron of defensive spearmen. This isn't a battle, it's a stand-off."

Pete I clicked on the download link but received an Error 404 message from dropbox. I don't know if it's my computer interface or some problem with the link itself. ?

Sorry, I was forgetting that I updated most of them when I put them all in one place. It should work now, Zeabed. This scenario is actually included in the official game now too.ZeaBed wrote:Pete I clicked on the download link but received an Error 404 message from dropbox. Thanks pete, but if it's an older update as you noted then I already have it. I thought it was a pretty good game. I didn't even know that there was a wiki page for the online FoG games.

Yes, if you scroll down the first page of the wiki you will see massina-nz's scenario review section there.ZeaBed wrote:Thanks pete, but if it's an older update as you noted then I already have it. Re: Battle of Atoleiros, 1384
The reviews appear to be skewed ( as all reviews are) by the reviewers own personal tastes. Craig appears to feel that if a BG's stats (and images) dont line up with the DAG lists then there somehow flawed. He also weighs heavily on whether a scenario offers an equal chance for either player. I generally dont visit the wiki but i took a look at the scenario reviews (he has done a lot!) and surprised by how many scored very low, many of them damn good scenarios too.
