25-0. you can't beat that. elephants in tropical. not a good match up.navigator wrote:it couldnt be much worse than our second table palmyran hammering could it?
but then i took huns to Warfare and got a 25-0 thumping in the last game, so you've got my symapthy. not sure there is anyhting you can do other than 1 or even 2 flank marches. especially at 900 pts.

Re: BADCON 2013 - 16&17 Feb
ours was 26-0
altho our heavy cav had a fight against some auxilia which we should have won and opened up the centre us. unfortunately my partners dice were worse than our opponents....
thought people said elephants were over rated still.....

Dave, looks like the "tactical decision" to lose to you on Sunday morning worked to our advantage! You'll be delighted to hear we won 24:1 against Romans - which you would have taken apart!

A note on FOG Ancients. The prize for third place was split 3rd and 4th (both on 64 points) and was awarded based on their last round performance. They both broke their opponents armies but Thorne And Hutchby scored more points in the process.
Best Painted Army Peter Kershaw Slave Revolt
Best Baggage Phil Steele Palmyran
Prize Draw for free entry 2014 Chris Tonge & Rob Ashley
Thanks to everyone who attended and made it such an enjoyable weekend, see you all next year.
Regards Dene

Yes, we got a far tougher draw this time. Unlike Usk where we were lucky and got to play you for an easy win.titanu wrote:All Sassanids down amongst the dead men I see!!
