Hy,
It's been some time now that I've played FOGAM so I have to ask questions as my memory failed me and I could not find the answer in the rules ( perhaps I missed it ..)
When a unit turns 90° , does it have to remain a the shortest distance from the closest ennemy ?
When you turn 90°, you will often offer a shorter "line" . So if an ennemy unit was at say 3 MU from your flank, if your turn 90° do you have to have your rear ( assuming you want to go away ) at 3 MU, or is the new front base at the other extremity of the former line and so ...so you are much further away ?
turn 90° and distance from the ennemy

Re: turn 90° and distance from the ennemy
You I think are confusing the turns required to evade vs the turn to move.
The turn to move is always the starting front corner you are turning toward holds its point.
In an evade a turn does not increase your distance.

Ok so both are different . OK
Thank you
Thank you
Re: turn 90° and distance from the ennemy
A BG in the restricted zone of an enemy BG must turn with the edge closest the enemy becoming the new side edge.

p70 bullet 7. The old side edge nearest the chargers becomes the rear edge.
this stops people gettimg further away in a turn

Just to clarify for the terminally confused, this is ONLY when evading.philqw78 wrote:p70 bullet 7. The old side edge nearest the chargers becomes the rear edge.

Re: turn 90° and distance from the ennemy
Thank you . Playing 3 sets of rules leads sometimes to misinterpretation .
