Looking for translators GTPG

Post by nikivdd »

I'm looking for people who could translate the briefings and debriefings for GTPG.
Two people already volunteered for the english and french version.
Who would be willing to do the translations into German or Russian (cyrillic)?
Any other language would be great too ofcourse!
Please reply to this thread if interested. Thank you very much!

English check and upscale: Ceek
French version: Produit
German version: Tarrak
Russian version: ?
Other language?

The (de-)briefings will be ready for translation once Ceek is finished.

I have the versions in German but only until Belgium. So anything afterwards requires translation, that includes the briefings and the pzloc files (the file showing the victory conditions at the start of every turn).
Your offer is much appreciated, but don't feel any obligation to do so - it is a huge job. The translation I requested is for GTPG v1.06.

The english version is complete but still there might be a typo here or there. If you think it is worth to write the translations into Portuguese, i'm sure it will be appreciated by your fellow countrymen. It is much appreciated and thanks a lot for your offer. The translations i requested are for GTPG v1.06.

I just now noticed the date on your post (09 Apr 2012). I guess I am a little late.

I can still do the translations to Portuguese, but there is probably not enough interest.
Personally, I prefer to play in English. It would feel odd to read WW2 battle briefings/debriefings in Portuguese.
Since we play the Germans I would actually prefer to read the briefings in German, but then I wouldn't know what the Mission Objectives were!!

As for english I can check for typos, if you want. I did notice 1 or 2 but didn't report it because I didn't feel it was important.

If you find the time, you can compile a list of typos. Thanks.

I have a lot of spare time at the moment. So bring it on...

All joking aside: I don't know exactly how much time I can invest in the translation, but it's work I like and I have already done some translation für HOI3.
So basically all I need are the english text versions.

The texts are in the folder "Data", with extension "pzloc" (Victory Conditions) and in folder "Data\Briefings" with extension "pzbrf" (Briefings/Debriefings).

I've got the Victory Conditions checked and have started on the Briefings/Debriefings.
All I've found so far are a few typos, mostly missing spaces after commas.
Would you like them now or wait until I finish everything?

It's taking me a long time to finish editing all the files.
Mainly it's YOUR FAULT.
I can't get away from your MOD long enough to do more than 1 or 2 files a day.

I propose to send you what i've already done, one "doc" file with all the proposed changes.
If you aprove the type and accuracy of my changes I'll do all the rest directly on the "pzbrf" files.
That will be much quicker than "copy" "paste" text to word, edit, "copy" "paste" to original file.

Let me know...
