support

a bg has 3 ranks 2 with spear 1(3 bases of light foot)is support them with bow. why do the spear-men only get extra dice for the support mted and not foot

Because then they would be MF allowed in the army lists.

Its to give historic effect. Some armies deployed a few archers in rear ranks to counter mounted charges.
