Newbie seeks first game of 2.1

I recently finished my first full game of 2.0, and got soundly thrashed. We are now part way through a pair of mirror games in 2.0 and I am doing rather better. So I am looking to have a go at 2.1. I have read about half of the 700 page manual and have messed around a bit against the AI.

• I am happy to take either the Axis or the Allies.
  I can usually get in several turns a day, but don't mind if you can't.
  On occasions real life may mean that I can't get a turn in for a day or two.
  I like the standard options.
  Except that I have a mild preference to reset the number of Italian surrender cities to 6.

Any takers?

Bump: it is 12 weeks on and I am starting to get the hang of 2.1. Three games finished and a couple of others running a bit intermittently so I am looking to start another one. I would prefer to play the Allies (I am the Axis in 3 of my 4 current games) and would prefer an opponent not so skilled that they would simply wipe the floor with me.
