Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - New Players Welcome
I have a new comp so I have installed BA from a DVD I've burned.
That went ok and when I start the game it ask if I want to do an update but...
when I click on yes nothing happens.
Should I download the latest update(1.7.0?) manually instead?
The only expansion I have is Blietzkrieg France. I can register that one from inside the game, right?
But that is not necessary for the campaign, I suppose?

I'm sure you should be able to install on any computer, and expansions should work once re-activated.hidde wrote:I have a new comp so I have installed BA from a DVD I've burned.

But there's probably some copy protect on the DVD.
Worth posting to Pip/Iain on Tech Support thread... They can probably let you download somehow?

gotta stay humble to keep my edge, lol. my theory was, I know quite a few fellows who hand me my hat in this game frequently, so how could I be an A lol. Add Enric to that list. Couldn't stop him. lol....GottaLove88s wrote:I've listed you as B, because ranks are all self-assessed (confessed?), but man you're an easy A- ... at the very least...
We need to protect the new guys from being suckered in, lol...

Up and running. Downloaded 2.7.0 via Matrix and installed without problem.GottaLove88s wrote:I'm sure you should be able to install on any computer, and expansions should work once re-activated.hidde wrote:I have a new comp so I have installed BA from a DVD I've burned.

Did some turns of the first scenario and boy, I'm rusty!
Good thing this is not in the desert...I suck at desert warfare.

Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - Germans hold Bayeux & Ouistreham
Thanks guys! If anyone is playing Mowby, Mlazar, iProp, Random or Joncorcuera pls would you ask them to confirm their status here... Cheers!GottaLove88s wrote:Guys, We have some new great players joining us from June 9th...
Please would all players (current and new) indicate if you consider yourself...
1. An active player (can finish a 20 turn battle in 1-2 weeks, time zones permitting)
2. Active but busy (so can't play too many games or too often)
3. Taking a break
4. Leaving the campaign for now
Also, please give yourself a rank A,B,C,D,E, so we keep the teams balanced... Be honest! JC and JCB, nope, there's no way either of you are C's!!
Most of you guys have played me, so I reckon I'm a B... Strategically sound most of the time but prone to making foolish goofs (as Al and JC are discovering in our Hillman tourneys, lol)
We'll use your answers to keep the teams even...
NB. If you don't reply by Sunday night (Feb 10th) we'll assume you're 3. Taking a break...
Caen and Buron are nearly done, and Bayeux 2 is in progress... Turn-by-turn AARs and screenshots on team private threads...

Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - New Players Welcome
hi jon we re playing buron with mlazar but as you see it i can t play now as much as before.
I think it s better for me to take a break in this campaign after i ve finished my game against mlazar
Beginning granfali's campaign and yours was a fantastic adventure for me.
I hope in future i can play all battle academy games that i want because i love this game.
I will tell you then if i join tthe campaign later
Keep doing this good work i like your maps and i will continue to play them in multi games

Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - New Players Welcome
I can continue playing actively.
(Random27, do you want to work out a negotiated end to our battle?) You can't cross the river. I doubt you can harm me in any way. If you want to call it, then screenshot the current losses and call it a German win.

Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - New Players Welcome
JCB, I had problems uploading my last turn and after several attempts I was asked to discard the turn. But in the Active games screen it looks just fine. Please report to me if you notice something that's not correct, apart from all those units of yours I've killed

We're always interested in taking on new players. The Allies are looking short right now.
What's your level of experience? Normally it takes 30-50+ MP games to get intuitive with the game dynamics...
