on a mp game, one artillery retreat into an hex occupy by an infantry. that cause a crach during replay

Could you check something for me: does the infantry unit in the retreat hex get attacked earlier in the turn?

yes, and both infantry and artillery have retreated in the same hex

So to be clear which of these happened?

Option 1:
1. Infantry unit is attacked, but doesn't retreat
2. Artillery unit is attacked and retreats into the infantry hex

Or Option 2:
1. Infantry unit is attacks and retreats
2. Artillery unit is attacked and retreats into the same hex as the infantry
