new user - Battle Acad stuck at splash screen

The website directed me to this forum for tech support. I am reluctant to post since my program is not even working yet, but I was not permitted to send a PM..

I purchased the program last night. I installed it on my home PC last night but did not run it. I installed it on my office PC this morning, along with the patch. I registered the product, but I can't get past the splash screen.

My copy is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (I can provide to admin if needed)

I need your advice to get the program running.

Does hitting Enter work?

There is a problem in the current version where the OK button does not appear on the first screen if you are using large fonts.

I think I figured it out. I took my office computer home and it works. Must be something blocking it from getting out through the firewall.

Is it possible to play BA without connecting to the internet?

Can you be specific about where you get to in the game - that is, what specifically do you mean by the splash screen? And what happens when you try and do anything. The game has been designed to run without issues when there is no internet connection.
