LORDS OF KHURASAN circa 1000

After battling on the wide steppe of eurasia, we're moving to the ancient land of khurasan. All welcome, providing you can play at least once at least every two days.

Rules:

1. players choose from the following list from Decline and Fall, a 500 pts army:
Dailami Buyids, Ghaznavids, Khurasan Saminids, Khurasan Saffarids, Later Abbasids, Seljuk Turks Empire (from Swords and Scimitars).

2. Players can choose the same army.
3. No allies allowed. Exceptions: Later Abbasids, Seljuk Turks Empire.

4. Minimum of 10 Ghilman Cavalry.
5. Maximum of 6 Armoured Impact Foot.
6. When picking dailamis, only the units with NO archer support can be taken.
7. Impact Foot + lancers = 15 maximum. Light horse lancers do NOT count as lancers.

8. both players must choose 'open' terrain when setting up games. Only desert maps can be chosen.

9. each player will challenge every other player. Mirror games possible.

10. since this is designed to be a learning experience and a friendly joust, scores will not be tallied. players will post results and are encouraged to discuss battles from a tactical and historical perspective.

welcome. we only require you to be able to play almost daily. you will learn the hard way if you've just started but people are willing to help. just ask questions as you go.

remember as you build your army to be mindful of the restrictions:
1. everybody must have at least 10 armoured mounted archers (ghilman or khurasanian cavalry)
2. buyids cannot have more than 6 armoured dailamis.
3. dailamis cannot have LF bow support. (you have to pick the ones without)
4. impact foot + lancers = 15 max. (LH lancers do not count)
5. only abbasids and seljuks can have allies.

restart the game if you spot a mistake. to avoid delays make sure you get it right the first time.
