This olde brain gets confused at times. Could someone clarify:
If a commander is with a unit, does he get one free CMT each phase or only one free CMT per turn? In other words, does my unit get one free CMT during Assault Phase and then another during Movement (say, I was halted from an assault and want to retire half a move)?
I think the PowerPoint suggested/stated only one free per turn.
CP Use: each phase???

Re: CP Use: each phase???
The rules say it is each phase, so one freebie in the assault phase and another in the movement phase.
- Just on your example, a unit cannot move in the movement phase if it moved in the assault phase, so you can't actually attempt a half move back after a failed assault.
Cheers

I know that! Now...why would I write that!!??!! The brain really must be going!!!
Re: CP Use: each phase???
Definately one per phase.
Re: CP Use: each phase???
By the way and what if you attempt an assault, need to pass a CMT ( to assault an occupied building )and you fail the CMT to enter the building . may you move afterwards or is it considered as "having made an assault" even if you did not move .
Re: CP Use: each phase???
A unit that does not make an assault due to a failed CMT can move as normal during the movement phase.By the way and what if you attempt an assault, need to pass a CMT ( to assault an occupied building )and you fail the CMT to enter the building . may you move afterwards or is it considered as "having made an assault" even if you did not move .

Thanks
Now one more thing as I reread the FAQ on buildings :
If a unit is occupying a building, it can be assaulted just by a simple charge that stops at the limit of the BUA or has the charging unit to pass a CMT to enter the BUA ....

The first bullet point in section 1.4 reads:Now one more thing as I reread the FAQ on buildings :

> Any Unit in a building is assaulted by moving the assaulting unit(s) into contact with the building.
You therefore do not need a CMT to assault a unit in a building regardless of whether or not it is 'defending' it or 'occupying' it.
