as far as I know it needs DV in vanilla C or cheating to unlock the special difficult levels. After nearly all DLC`s introduced would it be possible to add them as "standard" diff. levels with the DLC 45 west without the way of unlocking them by cheating. I think many players would use them for a second play through - and there are not a secret anymore

Unlocking difficult levels with DLC 45 west
Good morning,
as far as I know it needs DV in vanilla C or cheating to unlock the special difficult levels. After nearly all DLC`s introduced would it be possible to add them as "standard" diff. levels with the DLC 45 west without the way of unlocking them by cheating. I think many players would use them for a second play through - and there are not a secret anymore

Re: Unlocking difficult levels with DLC 45 west
By the way, you can unlock them also by winning the last Afrika Korps map with a DV

You can unlock all levels by editing the registry.

Re: Unlocking difficult levels with DLC 45 west
I have spent five minutes searching for the instructions on how to do this. can't find them! I will ping VPaulus and I am sure he'll get the answer soon. Here is how I recall doing it and what I see if I go to my command line:Lut wrote:good morning GSlapshot,GSlapshot wrote:You can unlock all levels by editing the registry.

If you go to your command line, and type "regedit", you should then get a window and if you go to /hkey_curent_user/software/slitherine/Panzer Corps, you will see among the entries "ShowBonusLevels" If you edit that value to "1" you will get them when you launch a campaign. Note that's "campaign," not scenario. You can't alter the level after starting the campaign. I suggest Rommel; Guderian and Manstein are problematic for long-term campaign play. Rommel makes it fun with 1/2 prestige, however you do earn experience at a more rapid rate which helps offset that to a degree once you learn the ins and outs.
Re: Unlocking difficult levels with DLC 45 west
Thanks Kamerer - yes, Rommel seems to be interesting because of the 50% cut of prestige. I never struggled with prestige (playing on FM)- but 50% less could be a real challenge.
Thanks again...
Thanks again...
Re: Unlocking difficult levels with DLC 45 west
Thanks Kamerer. It's like you said, open Windows registry with regedit, locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Slitherine/Panzer Corps and modify the ShowBonusLevels entry to 1
