trouble running on Windows 7 guest
Fresh download and install of 1.5 plus 1.8.1 patch. Running on Windows 7 guest VirtualBox inside Ubuntu host. Latest version of VB with Guest additions installed. Other Slitherine apps (eg CGW) run ok in this setting. FoG used to run correctly in this setting before upgrade to 1.8.1. FoG launcher comes up, click start game results in spinning cursor, app never launches. How can I trouble shoot this?

Re: trouble running on Windows 7 guest
Are you running with administrator privileges? If not, you might try that and see if it resolves the issue. Alternatively, you might try the system log to see if it reports any errors.
If you are using FoG.exe as your launcher, try using autorun.exe as there have been problems reported with FoG.exe.

Yes, running as admin. which system log? windows or FOG?
I don't seem to have an autorun.exe, it's not in Program Files > Slitherine > Field of Glory, where should it be?

Re: trouble running on Windows 7 guest
Where is "autorun.exe" for FOG? I downloaded from an URL provided by Slitherine, the resulting directory does not include autorun.exe.

Re: trouble running on Windows 7 guest
This was before Slitherine & Matrix combined their installers so there are subtle differences between then depending on where you bought. The FoG.exe is the launcher that then runs the game. You can skip it and run FieldOfGlory.exe directly.
