Tank in reverse destroyed?

Why, when a tank, Stug, etc, sustains two frontal hits but when reversing gets killed when reversing ie from the attcking unit reaction shot? Morale had not reduced by much.

Must have just been lucky hit. It has happened to me also. I once had a panther get suppressed but reversed, did Opp fire, an killed ME...Lol. Now THAT is unlucky....lol

Lucky shot? More like something from the dark side!

Actually German doctrine did not advocate reversing......

That's pretty disturbing when it happens.
I find the "suppressed shot" kill even more disturbing though;
when you've surpressed the enemy tank and it fires that one last shot and takes you out as they run away.
