Pacific, Italy, Eastern Front in Battle Academy

Post by LandMarine47 »

Ever Since I bought Battle Academy on the iPad I was wondering about new ideas the game could add. If possible we would like to see the Pacific War in Battle Academy Like Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Okinawa etc. And over all the appearance of Japanese Forces like regular infantry Type 94 LMG infantry Machine Guns and such. I think if Battle Academy can add this Campaign as a DLC they would be a lot more popular because it gets boring Fighting the Germans Over and Over again and Italy is too weak to even make a difference.

My second Thought is to add the Italian Campaign such as Sicily and Monte Casino in Battle Academy as a DLC. You can play as both the American and British armies as they fight their way up the Italian Peninsula.

My third and maybe most important thought is the Addition of the Eastern Front. You can play as Germany in Operation Barbarossa or play as the Russians at battle such as Moscow, Stalingrad, Kursk and ultimately Berlin itself. This however should not be a DLC players should be either play it free or just make it into another app completely. Now it think I speak for a lot of players for the addition of these campaigns and I just hope maybe one of the producers can pick up on these ideas. Thanks for your time reading this lengthy post and give us your opinion on these thoughts. :D

As far as the Russian Front...They are making a "New" BA2 which will be Eastern Front action...(Yes!) That is in the distant future though...
Thats about all can help you with....
Oh...There is a Pacific Theatre campaign that was made quite awhile back..You might want to try. its in the Campaign section you can download it...(part of the user downloads...free)

Is this on the PC? Sadly My laptop is overflowing with bugs and I'm going to have to wait a year for a new one. As for the Pacfic, the only DLC campaigns on the iOS version is Blitzkrieg France Market Garden and Sea Lion. What Battle are on that Campagin?

It was made quite awhile back and was meant for the PC version. I am not sure if it may translate well to the iPad...that may be an issue. PM Junktodrive and ask...
There are lots of MP stuff going on with new maps, mods, and such...very interesting...you should check them out. ;)

Out of interest there were 3 campaigns by J2D, I don't know if all were put on the download page I think only one was. (Pip - Do you have list of the users downloads anywhere)

Pacific Campaign 1 viewtopic.php?t=19547

Pacific Campaign 2 viewtopic.php?t=19891

Pacific Campaign 3 viewtopic.php?f=105&t=20161

Could you let us know what problems/bugs you have got, and maybe with others we could have a go a fixing them if J2D doesn't mind
Cheers

IIRC the Pacific campaign was one of the very first things ever created by the modding community, so it won't have the polish of later campaigns - but they were most definitely built on its shoulders.

If there are downloadable campaigns that you want to see on your iPad but aren't in the official list you can always set them up yourself and download using the user download functionality. It's a little involved and you do need some online space (although shared Dropbox links will work fine).

It's more that if you grab the above links to PC you can then package them up for iPad if you want to give them a go.

Ah - I see. It's definitely possible that user-hosted campaign URLs could become invalid - these were posted over 2 years ago bear in mind. You could PM Junk to see if he can repost them. Or perhaps someone else has a copy of them laying around.

Cheers

If you didn't like the first one, you won't like the others. I took them off of dropbox. The game has changed a lot since the beginning. Someone else can take a shot at making stuff.
You can call me junk - and type that with one hand.
