20 SE BF 109G Unable upgrade?

I received the 20th SE BG 109G from a scenario in the West 1944 DLC. I am unable to upgrade it. When I click on the upgrade icon it just opens a blank window. Is by design? As much as I like the unit, it is struggling to keep from getting KIA'd from better Allied fighters. I"m thinking about cashing it in for Prestige if I cannot upgrade it.

Hi,
I have no idea as to how you recived this air-unit,as i have do not have the DCL. In the standard v1.11 equipment.pzeqp the SE BG 109G is only aviable in the Africa Korps campain, so you have no upgrade path as it's taged as a 0 , witch atm is AK only. so as it's just a free unit, use it like a Suka with a nasty sting.

Yes this is correct. The special SE109 rewarded during the Cassino scenario cannot be upgraded, but it also comes with a very powerful hero to help compensate for this. If you are still struggling to maintain this unit in the face of Allied airpower(a constant threat in this DLC) then you can disband it for prestige of course.

Personally I do my best to keep this fighter around, with a few extra stars and another hero, it can be very powerful, even as a fighter bomber like Grimwar mentioned above.

Thankyou for not saying, what a fool i was, i need glasses with extra cop-on, i saw the SE problem but assumed it was a tack-bommer as i had this problem with a campain i'am working on and found out what 0 means.

yes look up the hero, may be weak fighter but if attack +3 it will maul armour. As most good fighter's you have only +1 attack, but a hero of +3 means go after armour, not infantry as they have to a high air defence.
