"open" terrain

Post by hazelbark »

I can't find a definiation of when you are in open terrain for CT check purposes. We need an errata to glossary with definiation I think.

Skirmisher just out of rough going. Enemy cavalry declares charge.
Rule question: Is the Light unit in skirmisher formation who is partially in open, required to take a CT for being charged?

We decided since it was partially in rough that the test was not required.

I believe the rules state if you are partially in terrain you pay the move penalty, so being partly in it should also apply to CMT's. As in you are partly in terrain so should not count as being in open for CMT purposes, keeping in mind that the bases and the actual unit footprint are somewhat different.
