Just picked up the game and it does not work

I just bought the game and when I try to run it there is a movie then a couple of blinks and it goes back to the smaller window with the Play link. I looked at some posts that talk about it being Russian/Greek language related. I have English on my computer. I re-installed C++ per the instructions but it did not do any good.

I found an error file that said "KERNEL MEMORY CHECKING IS **OFF**" But this does not look like the issue to me.

Does anyone have suggestions of other things I can try?

If you ever get an error or crash, please attach the ctgw.log file to your report, this will help us identify the problem. It's more useful if the error is during the AI turn, but it would be good for you guys to get used to uploading these logs. The logs are in your Documents, so the default is "My Documents\My Games\Commander The Great War"

I forund many vrsions of c++ and removed them all and installed the one posted in the link. The game still did not launch after the movie and here is the current error log.

I've just noticed your ATI drivers are very old (2009). You've to update the drivers of your graphic card.
All ATI users had to update their drivers otherwise the game wouldn't run.
Sorry to have only noticed this now.

That fixed the issue. My PC manufacture does not make it easy to update or suport graphics drivers (Asus) but I was able to get the latest driver working on my laptop and the game appears to work. Thanks for the help!
