I didn't know there's a compilation of DLCs out

But amazon.de had one consisting of four DLCs (39-42), which I bought immediately. Received it yesterday. Nice.

Didn't even get around to play yet, but looking forward to it, since I skipped DLCs so far. Only one thing was strange, it took ages to read the dvd initially (at amazon there were even several customers complaining the whole thing is defective, which it is definately not). Could that be because of a 600MB+ patch on the disc? Probably it looks awhile if it can update something.

The patch is now outdated of course due to 1.11. Maybe for a further compilation just leave the customer an option only to install the DLCs (that were only a couple MBs), this could save time and confusion.

This will most likely, but not definitely, be a focus after we've completed DLC 1945 West, a megapack of all 10 DLC that makes acquiring them all in a single stroke a much more effortless affair. There are some significant obstacles in the way, for example we want to update all the DLC with the new features that have been introduced over the years since they first appeared, and distribution of the updated versions of the DLC to players who already own a mix of DLC is another technical hurdle that will need to be solved.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Yes it WOULD be nice to buy the whole shebang in a single installer file, I won't say the obviously wrong comment, that we do NOT want this.

But I also think it isn't the end of the world, if people need to buy the DLCs as a sequence of files either.

I am sure the number of people that already have some greatly outnumbers the people that have none.

And I can't fathom selling the set at a price lower than the sum of the whole, and I can't picture anyone being interested in pay for some over again just to get a few missing items.

Myself, I'd be inclined to eventually offer a file that is the whole friggin game, AK as well and every last DLC and maybe offer it for a nice price potentially, and with all the patching already incorporated. It might be worth the effort. Myself, I already whole a complete set of files, and really, I doubt I'd be interested in the download unless it was a freebie for people that can demonstrate that they already own the entire series via registered serials. I don't need the convenience so bad I'd pay anything for it.

Heaven help me if I ever get that unmotivated I need the install made easier hehe
