V2 Printed proof approved!

Post by IainMcNeil »

Hi guys,

the printed proofs of V2 just arrived and look really good. We compared blind and we actually found people preferred the new version to the old version so that's a good sign!

It just seems a sharper with more contrast so you can see the details of photos and paintings slightly better. The binding looks good. Tried bending it backwards more than you would normally and flattening it with some force on a number of different pages and really giving it a bit of punishment and it held up well. It's impossible to say how it will last in a continuous stress test after years of play but initial impressions were good. We wont be including this battered book in the copies we send out :)

So now we have to go in to full production so purchase orders are going in and we'll join the queue and have it ready ASAP.

Just thought you would like to know!

I thought that was a form of Reader Comprehension Test (titrate against volume of Barolo) rather than a test on the book itself

I am so excited !!! so sharing the news. It Really is true , I held two copies of version 2 book in my hands today, we are really pleased with the quality of the Print on demand, but you can soon judge for yourself. Final instruction to go into manufacture given today, they estimate 10 days to send over the first batch and we will be opening up for pre orders as soon as we can find a sec to put it on the site. So you have an opportunity to get your hands on the first batch. 'I really liked the feature that notes the chapter reference so you can cross reference against anyone using the digital or iPad version.

If I'm truthful I have to say I am really pleased this is finally done, it has not been without problems

Ok it is finally up!

You can find it in the Coming Soon section :
http://www.slitherine.com/coming_soon

Or go straight to the page:
http://www.slitherine.com/games/FoG-2.0-POD

You can pre-order now and we expect to ship around the 21st December. The price is $39.99 which converts to £26.99 or 32.99 Euros. It is a full colour hardback book.

We are in the queue for printing right now and the expected dispatch date to us is the 18th December. We expect it to take a couple of days to arrive and integrate to the warehouse and to be shipping around the 21st December. Time is very tight so we can't be sure these will get out before Christmas but if not it will almost certainly be during the holidays.

This initial print run is pretty small - only 300 copies. I suggest you pre-order ASAP as it will be first come first served. The next print run will not be until the new year.

Please bear in mind if you choose to pay extra overnight delivery, this will only be from when the books arrive with us - you will still have to wait.

Spread the word and get your orders in!
