Better late than never

Post by Grimwar »

Hello all,
Where do i start in praising Panzer Corps, well i guess here. Being an avid fan of Panzer General and playing it and PG2 since god's knows, when a few months ago, i was checking to see if there were any updates to {PG Forever a remake of PG by Rudankort}, when i came across Panzer Corps.
Well i'am obtuse in the way's of the net at times, which left me not knowing about this game for over a year, am i a hermit in this day an age?

The first time i played PG in 1994-ish, i was hooked, OH man the 1st few tries at the Polish Campaign i will never forget, i think i replayed the 1st scenario 20 times, Oh and those popup circles with the battle view was a clasic, well in 1994 it was.

That trilling feeling i rediscovered with Panzer Corps, after installing the game and like the Field Marshal i'am, i disposed of the manual and took my military genius to the battle field. Well to my horror i had nearly lost the 1st scenario and had to go looking at a manual, Such shame i had to hide from my sorry troops and encourouge them on-Wards to further glory. Kind of hard to do while engrosed in paper work.

Hooked i'am, so i went and bought the Africa Korps last week and to be honost i havent played it yet. Alas so many itialian core units in the 1st scenario kind of put me off. Well i had no real desire to play AK, but i had trouble downloading the 1.10 patch and happened to be in a store a day later and so bought it.

Which remindes me about the patch is it the whole game? And i had 4 fails from your [check for update link] on thePC Gamemenu.

As i was so engrossed about registering here i did a typo on my username, can a kind mod please change my user name to Grimwar,

Thankyou.

Basically, yes. This way we ensure that the patch will work. But you can download from a mirror. BTW download patch 1.11:

In the main menu screen, below the options:

And you should update to 1.11 now that you've installed AK.
