Mac version : sound bug

Post by Lestat67 »

i bought my copy on saturday and tried it for a few hours.

I don't know if its my computer (Mac Pro 2 x 2,6, Leopard), but i found a real ennoying bug : after one or two air combats, the sound stops completly. I succeeded in reproducing this bug each time i play…

Do you know this problem ? Do you have a solution ? Playing in silence is not very adequate for a wargame !

PS : by the way, the sound shivers also at the intro, at the very begining of the game… :x

As we did not develop the Mac version, you are going to be better off posting any technical problems over on the Freeverse forums. Hopefully they can get you working.

Cheers

I have the downloaded version of Commander - I'm running it on a MAC OS 10.5.2. I am experiencing the following problems - anyone had similar?

The sound issue is very noticeable - switches off after about 5 minutes
The game frequently crashes - the only way round this is to save after every move

Lastly, and more annoyingly, the game is too easy to win as the computer opponent mostly simple stores production and doesn't produce!! I frequently end up fighting no - one whilst facing an enemy with over 3000 production points stored. This happens for both Allied and Axis ( although mostly axis)
There is also an issue sometimes with american reinforcements crossing the atlantic and piling up at a seaport in Scotland without disembarking!! Again, makes the game very easy to win. Any suggestions?

I have also posted this on the freeverse forum - who released the MAC version - and they suggested that the las point I have made woud be better placed here.

Cheers

All technical questions on the MAC version need to be referred to Freeverse.

On the game balance - have you tried increasing the advantage to the AI side when starting a game? On the default setting it is easy. Also try turnign on Fog of War and Oil to make the game harder.
