No way to view games that ended?

Post by Jakse »

I just had a game end on me in multiplayer and I have no idea what happened. It didn't even let me view the last turn. Does that mean they surrendered? Does that mean I hit surrender instead of end turn? Do completed games go somewhere to be viewed or are they just lost forever? Just curious because I'd hate to have accidentally clicked surrender and ended a game on someone.

If your alliance got the last move, then your opponent gets a chance to open it up and see the end game message (I've had that happen to me) and the game shows up on the server with a black and white checker flag.

So does that mean I won or I surrendered by mistake or he did? I wish I had a little more information on this than just the checkered flag.

Surrender has to be confirmed, it'd be difficult to do it by mistake.
As in other "Slitherine" games. MP comunication leaves a lot to be desired.

Your opponent must have surrendered. Unlikely by accident, cos you get an "are you sure?" popup when clicking this button.

It does need better handling (feedback for other player). Will put it on patch list.

Thanks for the quick responses and I'm glad to hear that is going to be addressed. Guess I won a game!

Naw, ours is still chugging along nicely. I got it all figured out, just wish there were more in client communication options (but they are looking into that for the next patch).
