PBEM npt working

There is a bug in the GS 2.1 PBEM software for PC Windows 7. Ihave heard from 3 other players with the same problem as me. When trying to run the PBEM file the message ' Exception - this game was saved in a previous version of the game and cannot be loaded' appears and the game will not run.We all have CEAW 1.12 and GS 2.1. Please will you correct this bug Slitherine.

Do you get this when playing a NEW game or loading a save game from the beta period.

Others who have seen this problem has fixed it by completely uninstalling GS v2.1 and CEAW. Then installing CEAW from scratch and then GS v2.1.

Are you maybe one of those who got the CEAW + GS v2.0 combo? This is a version we haven't tested with. We didn't even though such a combo existed. If you have that one then you might need just the MH CeaW - Gold and then install GS v2.1.

It's very hard to recreate errors like this because there are so many versions of the vanilla game out there (old Slitherine version, old Matrix version, MH-CEAW Gold, MAC version, MH CEAW Gold + GS v2.0 combo). It seems the Matrix, MAC and MH-CEAW Gold versions work well. The old Slitherine version might work with just installing CeaW and then install GS v2.1 from a ZIP file and not the installer.
We are working on letting Slitherine distribute a ZIP file of just GS v2.1.

I have the MH-CEAW + GS 2.1, previously I had CEAW+GS 2.0 which I updated to GS2.1. PBEM would not work so I selected 'uninstall' but not all files were deleted so I deleted them manually. I then installed MH-CEAW 1.12+GS2.1 but when I email the German 1st. turn my opponent does his turn but when I get it back it asks for the Allies password.
