Liberating Belguim
Recaptured Belguim as the Entente, Brussels and all but receive no production points
Surely it should get the 10 point bonus back?
Re: Liberating Belguim
Production income from cities is generally damaged by attacks and when a city changes hands. If you press the spacebar you can see the current production output for all cities. Damaged cities do recover, but it takes time.
All nations get a minimum number of PPs for free. It's not much, but enough to support a couple of units. Once your cities recover, you'll start to see the income come back in.

Re: Liberating Belguim
Well a liberated Belgium has no free points which is a bit odd. Understand city production has to recover but to get no capacity to form even a garrison is odd
Re: Liberating Belguim
Do you have any units as Belgium at all?
Re: Liberating Belguim
Nope lost the armoured car soon after the liberation of Brussels. Have recaptured Liege as well. No free PP and no income from cites
Re: Liberating Belguim
I just checked, and what I said earlier is a bit misleading. You get the first 10PP of upkeep for free. I.e. you can support a small number of units with no income. However, this doesn't allow you to build any units. You won't get free PPs if you don't have an army.
In your game, you'll have to wait for Belgium to recover from the scars of war for a bit before they can rebuild their army.

Re: Liberating Belguim
I had army the armoured car and lost it because I got no PP from a liberated Belgium for free. I never lost Antwerp the whole campaign. I understand you cannot produce units without your capital. But surely a totally liberated
Belgium must supply some PP for free.

Re: Liberating Belguim
You get your upkeep for free, so you don't go into debt, but you don't get any 'free PP income'. Your cities will recover, and you will be able to rebuild, just not immediately.
Re: Liberating Belguim
I think I have got it now you don't actually get 10PP for a country you just can sustain that amount of units so you get no pp to replace losses
Re: Liberating Belguim
That's right. You basically get a discount on upkeep which is equal to your total upkeep or 10PP, whichever is lower. You don't get any free PPs beyond that. Don't worry though, Belgium will rise from the ashes
Re: Liberating Belguim
I too liberated Belgium. I had some unspent PPs from 1914 and used them to build an infantry unit. But now I have no replacements. But Brussels is beginning to recover and now I've recaptured Antwerp as well. So sooner or later....
