The product looks very good from the sample pages you have provided hope it plays well
Just a couple of questions regarding the Trebia OB from the sample pages. I am painting up a roman army for FOG and am using the Trebia OB. How are the latin allies represented? Are they 3 or 4 to a base and what size base?
How many points is the OB?
Also can this period army have Spanish and/or Gallic allies? how many and how are they based.
I have preodered the rules and one of the list books. Looking forwards to a game
regards michael
The OOB is only extremely loosely based on Trebia. In fact the Romans should probably have a BG of Gallic allies (not treated as an ally contingent) rather than the Italian allies. The fudge was to increase the difference between the armies by avoiding having Gauls on both sides.
Italian allies are mostly included among the legions. Unreformed Italian allies are MF, on 40x20 bases in 15mm, 60x30 bases in 28mm. 3 or 4 to a base as you prefer. You can have up to 12 bases of these (in BGs of 6 or 8 bases) plus another 4 bases of superior Extraordinarii.
I can't remember the exact points value of the OOB but it is somewhat over 600 points.
This period army can have Spanish allies - 1 BG (4 or 6 bases) in the main army or a full ally contingent - also 1 BG (4 or 6 bases) but not a full contingent of Gallic allies.
Gauls can be MF (based as above) or HF (4 to a base, 40x15 in 15mm, 60x20 in 28mm).
Other possible allies are:
Aitolians
Numidians
Pergamenes
