IPad message "game not registered to an account"

I'm getting tired of having to log in to multiplayer every time I start the game on my iPad. I get the message "game not registered to an account". But I have registered and have played several multiplayer games. How do I get the game to remember my login information?

Can you explain exactly what steps you have to go through each time - I can't think of what could be happening to cause you to get that error message. But hopefully we can work out what is going on and get you back to a pain-free experience.

Thanks for the quick reply Pip.

When I start BA and select "MULTIPLAYER" I get a log on screen that says GAME NOT REGISTERED TO AN ACCOUNT, IF YOU HAVE A SLITHERINE ACCOUNT, ENTER YOUR DETAILS HERE".

I can log on no problem by entering my login ID and password. The trouble is, I have to repeat this process every time I put my iPad to sleep or switch to another application and back again to BA.

So, I'm assuming that by the message I receive that the game can be registered to an account and it's just not happening for whatever reason.

Again, I can log in no problem. I'm just getting tired of continually having to do so every time I switch between apps, which happens a lot because I have to manually check back to see if an opponent has completed a turn. (As a side note, isn't there a way of building notifications into the app so that when an opponent has completed a turn, you are notified via the iPad's notification centre? I'd like to be able to surf or do whatever and not have to continually go back into the app to see if an opponent has completed their turn)

Can you try deleting the app from the iPad and reinstalling - it's possible it is storing some bad data.

Ok, I deleted the app and reinstalled it and am still getting the login screen every time I choose multiplayer.

OK - thanks. We're still trying to work it out at this end. It's very odd!

Do you own any other versions - PC or Mac?

I have the same problem. The game keeps asking me for username and password. Additionally it wont log me in at all now. I have tried to reset the password, but it wont log me in at all. Then when I try to register again, it tells me my username is already in use. So its seeing my username. But wont allow me to log in with my password.

I've had the same dislike of having to log in every time I start multiplayer but starting tonight now it won't let me log in and I get a new box I've not seen before that says "Not Logged In" and closing the message just leaves me at the login screen. But no matter how many times i enter my username/password, it keeps giving me the "Not Logged In" message.

Very frustrating!

I get the same "not logged in" message today when I try to log in with my Slitherine account. I managed to play one PBEM turn this morning but since then no luck.

I have a feeling one of their programmers tried to "fix" the problem that started this thread, that we have to enter our username & password every time and it doesn't remember us. But whatever "fix" they made now instead checks to see if we're already logged in, finds that we aren't and then stops us and gives us the "Not Logged In" message which just puts us in a non-working eternal loop. You'd think they'd test software changes before making them live. And now with the 3 day weekend, it may be some time before a new "fix" at least restores it to the previous version which at least allowed us to login and play even if we did have to enter the information every single time.

I am having the same problem, have reset password three times with no luck.

This problem started for me after installing an update.

Ahhh! I hope I didn't contribute to your problems, guys.

I've had no trouble logging in. But the initial problem still stands.

Hoping for a fix for all of us soon.

Howdy,

The same is true for me. When I try to login using my ipad, I get 'NOT LOGGED IN'. But I was able to login to this website. So as it stands I am not able to play multiplayer games because for some reason I cannot login. Also I noticed that when I tried to send an invite to a trial user, the website tells me I need to enter my registration code.

Sorry you were having problems. We think this is now fixed so can you please try logging in again.

Just tried it twice again. It still isn't working.

I go to multiplayer in the iPad app.
Enter my Login and password.
I get a box saying "Not Logged In" and the only thing I can do is close the box which leaves me back at the login screen.

Trying it repeatedly just continues the loop.

I am using an iPad 1 (first generation, not the newest).

My opponents in several games have been waiting on me for days now!

No joy. I tried twice. Then uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and tried again.

Still exactly the same. Not working!
