Intercepting Skirmishers that charge

Post by RobKhan »

Hi All,
Version 1 Rules Question.(I can't afford the new fangled tech. to get V2)

In our last game LH declared a charge against LF - all clear nor problems here.
The LH passed through the ZOI of impact foot spears, and a valid frontal interception was declared.

After digging through the rules and consulting other experienced FoGgers in the club, the consensus(thankfully) was that the LH were committed to a charge in the impact phase and not reacting to a charge in that phase, therefore no evade and the intercept impact combat happened (and the lucky sods got away with it and broke off in the Joint Action Phase!!)

Were we correct? If not, please refer me to the relevant rule/s.

Cheers
RobKhan

You are correct. However you need to look at the FAQ's to see the proof.

Though the turn sequence alludes to it since evades come before charges.

putting the arg into argumentative, except for the lists I check where there is no argument!

Thanks Phil, I have a copy of the FAQ, thanks for reminding me it exists.
