broken units and one question outcome move

Post by bahdahbum »

1) A unit as to test when a broken infantry unit moves within 4 MU of it . But nothing is said if you move a fresh unit within 4 MU of a broken unit . The broken unit not being within 4 MU when it initialy broke or moved as outcome move . Should the moving unit test as they go close to a broken unit .

The answer seems no but one never know ..

2) if a unit moves more than half is movement allowance during an outcome ( retiring of course ) it faces the way it goes and not the old facing, usually facing the ennemy .

Now what happens if your move is 6 MU, you roll 4 but due to a friendly unit you cannot completely interpenetrate, you stop and move a little bit less than 3 MU ...Do you count as not having moved more than half or do you count as moving more than half because of the dice ...

In answer to number 2 I would say you base it on actual distance moved, so if you move less than 3 Mu in your example you would end facing your enemy.

1) The short answer is no! It can only happen if your unit is broken during your oppenents move. However, it should be remembered that the broken unit will have to make another move during your movement , therefore you have to take test all units it will move to within 4Mu of during that move.
2) As per page 64 you use the actual distance moved (the last word on page 63 is 'actual' not 'accrual')
