Is it safe to reinstall Real Sound 1.10 over the 1.11 update? I sure miss my happy SS troopers singing their way to work.

If you're using GME it's always safe even when it's not working. :P
Anyway Redux 1.10 is compatible with 1.11. :)

Hi vPaulus,

also this is my first post here in the forum, I have been playing PC with all the DLCs and reading here in the forum right from the beginning. I enjoy the game very much and especially this mod here with the great sounds. Thx for that !!!
Well, since the update to V1.11 and reinstalling your mod I have no sounds anymore for the mech inf moving and shooting (single player, restarted a new scenario with the same effect). I dont know if it is the same bug as you describe in the tech support forum. I tried the efx-file which you offered as a workaround there, it works but then I no longer have your sounds, esp. the cool SE-Unit-Sounds.

I am not sure if this is a problem of the patch itself or in your mod, too, so I just want to inform you about the issue.

The previous version worked better --> correction seems needed.

Yes, it's related with the issue in the tech support. The workaround I've made was for vanilla efx not for my sound mod.
They have corrected three filenames and I only noticed that two days ago.
I was planning to do an update later with some new sounds. But I don't know when that will happen so here's a hotfix.
Replace the efx file with this one and copy the sounds to the respective folders.
Those new sounds are for Allied Strongpoint.
I've also made some corrections to the animation offset values after Jelinobas suggestion . :)

Again many thanks for your fast reply and esp. for that new hotfix.
I love that game and I really like that forum with all the dedicated people here who let us have more fun playing PC (also my wife and kids perhaps have a different view to that :-) )

I installed the new files, everything seems to work fine except the kradschutze (German side car), no sound at all for this one (playing DLC 42 right now).
I am tempted to let thos unit destroyed because a unit without sound has no interest for me.

Could you make sure every single unit in game using patch 1.11 jhas a sound ?

Your sound mod 1.10 was great until Slitherine launched patch 1.11...

I've detected another issue with the Italian L40.
As for the Kradschutze, I cannot reproduce the issue, Robert. I've checked both original 1.10 and 1.11 efx and there was no modification in the Kradschutze unit. I've checked my efx and Kradschutze didn't had a mis entry. I've loaded my test scenario and there was sound both moving and attacking. Then I loaded Bayonne scenario from DLC 42, and the same, sound in both sfx. So Robert, I'm afraid that one must be local. Could you please check if you've BMWR12_1.wav sound in your attackSfx and MG34_2.wav MoveSfx folder?
Anybody else with the Kradschutze issue?

I've compared both 1.10 and 1.11 efx files line by line and I didn't found no other substantial modifications in what concerns RSM Redux mod.

Hi,

No, I do not have those sounds.
I also noticed in Sevastopol scenario (DLC 42) that I had movement sound for the railgun (Dora) but not for the huge mortar gun (Gustav Gerat ?).

I checked in my MOD\Real sound mod folder (atack and move subfolders).
I did the same in the original Audio scenario of the game.

No those sounds are missing although I have used patch 1.11 + Generic mod to install your sound mod.

Dora is a rail gun so it has a different sound movement than Karl-Gerat. Karl uses Finn_TractorArt_1SL sound for movement while Dora uses Train_4.

I've downloaded the package and checked that all these sounds, including BMWR12_1 and MG34_2, are there. So Robert, something might have happened in between. I'm really sorry, but maybe it's better to download the whole package again.

Hi,

just checked it in my game (actual DLC 41) with 1.11 and your mod including the hotfix....Kradschuetzen-Sound works fine

I reinstalled everything from scratch (Sound Mod 1.10 + recent hotfix + SFX (sound "damage" files)).

It seems it works fine.

There is a problem with the Krad.


No matter what I do, the first sound slot will not work.

Sorry Glenn, but I can't help. The issue is not replicated in any of my systems.
As you know the efx file is straightforward. Unless there's no problem with the filename and the equipment file, you should always have the movement sound. For the attacking sounds you need also to have an animation corresponding sound.
I'm testing with 100% vanilla PzC 1.11 and Redux.

hey vp how come i have no sound for my se units and some aircraft sounds but all se units have no sound i know im doing something wrong the mods i have running are elite units mod 1.10,gtpg1.06,rsm 1.10, i also finally got the 1.11 patch installed any help for this no modding sob that i am would be helpful i miss my ss troops singing :cry: thanks

I'm sorry, but RSM Redux 1.1x is not compatible with Elite Units mod. Only the old version was compatible.

thank you vp so if i want to hear all your magnificent sounds what should i do close elite 1.10 from the gme and for instance go back to ss gtpg i need help ? :shock:

If you want to play with GTPG 1.06, you've to enable in GME in first place GTPG 1.06 and then RSM Redux.
With SS-GTPG, you can't enable RSM Redux mod nor Elite mod. That's because SS-GTPG have already an old version of RSM Redux and an old version of Elite mod.

Thank you VP for the help so now i have gtpg 1.06 handpick,rsm 1.10sounds are great!! is there anyway for instance to use other eqp files for your sounds and to play in 1.06 gtpg, and if so how would i go about doing that?
