Thanks for the clarification. I was surprised when it was suggested it was 'print at home'. But when it was supported by someone else I assumed I was wrong.

Well nothing much seems to have gone smoothly with FOG v2. But I do have one question, do I get a discount for buying the same thing, in more than one format, lets say a printed and digital version, or am I expected to pay full price for it, regardless of any copies I have already purchased

Cheers Glen.

Hi Glen

This was answered as a NO in another thread as each product sits independently.

Actually that is incorrect. What was said was that there may be a discount for pc + print version but not for ipad.

Ah okay thanks.

Couldn't find the thread so assumed I had it right.

Always happy to be proved wrong.

I believe Apple's terms for the App Store for the iPad prohibit this type of deal. Just one more reason to love Apple's closed universe. Fortunately it sounds like an Android reader will be coming from Abannan.

This is only a problem if you issue the rules as an App which must be downloaded.
A PDF can be loaded onto the iPad or any other tablet

A PDF could have solved the hard copy problem AND still included DRM as well, but that's water under the bridge at this point.

(Actually, I think the planned advantage of the portable Aplication was that when they updated the rules, everyone would get the same updates at once, so there would be no version confusion... of course, I'm pretty sure e-books have this functionality too... at least the ones on my Kindle do).

I may have recruited a new player (maybe two) this Saturday. They wanted to know about purchse of the rule book. Any idea when V2 might be ready in the paper version. I really can't recommend the other version yet. And are the army list books (v1) still available?

Thanks

Very happy for the new release... And eager to have a try...

Just a question what there is in the army book digital release ? A revision compatible with the new rules or simply a digital version of the books (I have the printed copy)... Thanks daniele

In terms of quality it should be almost impossible to tell the difference and the good news is that the revised text went off to layout today, so not to much longer

Do we know the price of the printed version yet? That would be good to know.

So for the new digital army books, is it basically the same as the printed version with only a errata with the changes? Will this errata be available separately so one would not have to buy the digital army list books? Also am I correct in that you can only view the army list book if you buy the main rules in the digital format? it will be a big turn off for me if I have to buy all the army list books digitally just to get the errata for the minor changes to them.
