Fortifications?

Post by fundin »

Hi,

I just started playing around a bit and loaded up 1944 scenario and noted that the Axis have some forts on teh French coast, can we build forts or is it just fo that scenario?

Please note i'm beta testing Mac version so haven't been playing long nor reading this forum in depth until a week or two ago.

Thanks

We cannot build forts, they have to be set in the scenario starts.

Me too.

Fortyifing the French coast is a must and being able too setup some defences in East Germany (when you fail to capture moscow and the Red Army comes banging at your door) too. We need the Sigfried and Gothic lines!

I think i guess why you couldn´t add new map features to CEAW while playing a game.

Maybe it could be implemented as a new type of unit: Bunker. It would have it´s own icon (a concrete pillbox, maybe). In game terms it´s a garrison unit with a high defence value, 0 movement and always on supply.

It should be easy to implement this way!
