GS 2.1 - 'old' version games?

I've installed 2.1 using the official download, apparently successfully. But it appears to be incompatible with games played in the 2.1 I had previously accessed via the beta group. Which is especially odd since my opponent in at least one game has switched to the new download without a problem.

Is there a simple fix for this? Or will I have to trash these games?

Unfortunately you may have to restart the games. Depending upon the version that the games were started in They are not compatible

with the release version. That is why they were beta versions. Those older games were started with an earlier group of files that are now incompatible.

Fair enough, thanks. But odd that one of my opponents updated to the official version with no problem. Computers are bizarre
