V2 Evades and kinked columns

From 9-10 skirmishers must evade with 2 exceptions (neither being a kinked column)
9-14 "A battlegroup in column cannot evade if it is currently kinked. Otherwise skirmishers can evade whatever their formation"
9-15 repeats the skirmishers must evade with several exceptions (but not kinked colum).

It seems a little unclear - do skirmishers evade if in kinked column?
It looks like skirmishers are the only evade capable troops able to be in kinked column (Cavalry aren't 1 base deep so can't evade anyway) so why have the restriction if it does not affect skirmishers.
The quote from 9-14 seems to almost contradict itself.

It seems a little dodgy if you could kink skirmishers so that they could take a charge.

Skirmishers do not evade if in a kinked column.

You may wish to pop this in the v2 errata thread as something to consider tweaking the wording of on 9-10 and 9-15 - viewtopic.php?f=114&t=38398
