charge and firing

A unit that charges and is haltedby the defending fire may fire during the normal fire sequence . But what happens if the target breaks or flees . The charging unit makes a normal move and comes into firing range of a nice target . It seems that nothing says it may not fire as it moved but did not change formation ...but we would like to have a ruling ...

If a unit charges in the assault phase and its opponents break or flee, it can still fire using the normal rules for firing in the Firing phase. So as long as the target is in range and arc at that time.
