Re: Nato counters
Doesn't writing the class name on the unit badge completely defeat the purpose of using tactical symbols? Just leave the name of that unit's model and use the space that is currently taken up by redundant information to put the unit's name.
Otherwise, nice.

Re: Nato counters
Normally, I'm not too keen on counters, but I have to say I do like the look of your latest effort - I look forward to the finished set. Keep up the great work!
Re: Nato counters
I'd still try to squeeze in the unit name into the counter, this is what I personally lack in how it is with icons: you have to look at the panel to see the unit name. At the same time I don't think including unit stats (especially attack stats -- it's something you remember first in a campaign, isn't it) is that crucial, at least they don't have to take up as much space as they do now.
Re: Nato counters
What do you mean by unit name, the actual "callsign" of the unit, which you (the player) can change?Nerdator wrote:I'd still try to squeeze in the unit name into the counter, this is what I personally lack in how it is with icons: you have to look at the panel to see the unit name. That can't be part of the counter, as it's customizable while the counter is a "hardcoded" graphic. It's actually painted, not made up automatically from ingame information.
Since PzC comes with no scripting engine whatsoever, this is the only way to make it happen.
mromagnani, like windtalker, I don't normally like counters (and I'm not going to play with them), but these at least look really cool. Splendid work.

I like these! It reminds me of playing the old Avalon Hill war games when i was young. All the pieces were little cardboard squares and they sort of looked liked these. Brings back memories! Nice job...
Re: Nato counters
rezaf, yes these names are what I meant, and these counters do indeed look like they were generated on the go.
