Regimental Guns (factor)

Post by ravenflight »

Hi all,

Just want to confirm that what I think is right is actually... well... right.

On the QRS the regimental gun gets a big zero next to its name. This (to me) means that ALL of the advantages or disadvantages above that line are not to affect the gun. However, I believe that the factors below that line can. Am I correct? I don't have the rules on me, but I imagine things like firing while in combat or into combat would be below that line. So a regimental gun would fire at a disadvantage if firing into combat. Am I correct?

ABCD
ABCD

Also, where IS the gun? Let's say ABCD above are an 8 base BG with reg gun whose end bases D enter combat (charged). The regimental gun fires in the impact phase, C & D can fire in the shooting phase, can the regimental gun ALSO fire?

For shooting purpose, the RG is treated as either in B or C (player's choice). So if C can fire, so can the RG. (Although in fact it is A&B that can shoot if D is in close combat, so the RG can shoot from file B)

But note that the RG counts for impact combat if ANY file is frontally contacted, even if the rest of the BG is already in combat. (A bit of a freebie, but that is how the rules are worded)..
